Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid (Apistogramma cacatuoides)

Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid (Apistogramma cacatuoides) is a small, beautiful and fascinating South American cichlid, distinguished by the vibrant coloration and striking fins of the males. It reaches approximately 6-8 cm and does best in a well-established aquarium with plants, driftwood, leaf litter and plenty of hiding places. It can be kept with small, peaceful fish, although males may become territorial, particularly during breeding.
