Albino Silver Arowana (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum) is a large South American surface-dwelling predator with an elongated body and upturned mouth. It reaches about 90 cm, so adults require an exceptionally large specialist aquarium or a large indoor tropical system maintained at a suitable stable temperature. It accepts fish, shrimp, mussels, insects and quality prepared foods for large predatory fish. A secure cover is essential because arowanas are powerful jumpers.
