Banded Leporinus (Leporinus fasciatus)

The Banded Leporinus (Leporinus fasciatus) is a large, active freshwater fish for a spacious aquarium with robust tank mates. It grows to about 25–30 cm and has a long body with bold black vertical bands over a yellow-gold background. It needs a large tank, strong filtration, regular plant-based food and carefully chosen tank mates, as adults can become assertive or territorial.
