Black Ruby Barb (Puntius nigrofasciatus)

Black Ruby Barb (Puntius nigrofasciatus), also known as the Black Ruby Barb, is a beautiful and active schooling fish, well suited to a planted freshwater aquarium. It is distinguished by its dark vertical bands, while males develop particularly intense ruby-red and dark coloration during the breeding period. It does best in a group and can be kept with other peaceful fish of a similar size. It reaches approximately 5-6 cm.
