Blood Parrot Cichlid

Blood Parrot Cichlid is an attractive and relatively peaceful ornamental cichlid, easily recognized by its rounded body, small parrot-like mouth and bright orange, yellow or reddish coloration. It reaches approximately 15-20 cm and does best in a spacious aquarium with hiding places, stable water conditions and peaceful tank mates of a similar size. It is not suitable for keeping with very small fish, as despite its relatively peaceful nature, it is still a fairly large cichlid.
