Cherry Barb (Pethia titteya)

The Cherry Barb (Pethia titteya) is a peaceful, beautiful, and relatively easy-to-keep schooling fish, suitable for a well-established community or planted aquarium. It reaches a size of approximately 4–5 cm. It is distinguished by the males' rich reddish coloration, the females' more subtle hues, and a calm temperament, making it a great choice for keeping alongside other peaceful fish. It thrives in a group of at least 6–8 individuals within an aquarium featuring plants, hiding spots, and stable, clean water.
