Demasoni (Pseudotropheus demasoni)

Demasoni (Pseudotropheus demasoni) is a small, very beautiful and highly active African cichlid from Lake Malawi, recognised by its intense blue-and-black vertical stripes. It reaches approximately 7–9 cm, but despite its small size it can be quite territorial, so it thrives in a well-established aquarium with plenty of rocks, hiding places and stable, hard water. It can be kept with other Malawi cichlids, but it is not a good choice for a peaceful community aquarium with small or slow-moving fish.
