Denisoni Barbus / Torpedo (Sahyadria denisonii)

Denison's Barb / Torpedo Barb (Sahyadria denisonii) is a very beautiful, active, and striking schooling fish suitable for a spacious, well-established aquarium. It reaches approximately 12–15 cm in length and is distinguished by an elongated, “torpedo-shaped” body, silvery coloration, a black horizontal line, and a bright red stripe on the front part of the body. It thrives in a group of at least 6–8 individuals, in clean, oxygen-rich water with open swimming space and peaceful tank mates of similar size.
