Five-banded Barb (Desmopuntius pentazona)

The Five-banded Barb (Desmopuntius pentazona) is a peaceful, relatively calm and attractive schooling fish for a mature community or planted aquarium. It grows to about 4–5 cm and has a slender body with distinctive dark vertical bands. Keep at least 8–10 fish in a planted aquarium with hiding places, subdued lighting and peaceful tank mates.
