German Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi)

German Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) is a small, beautiful and peaceful South American cichlid, distinguished by its vibrant coloration, delicate metallic iridescence and elegant behaviour. It reaches approximately 5-7 cm and does best in a well-established aquarium with warm, clean and stable water, plants and hiding places. It can be kept with small, peaceful fish, but is not the best choice for newly established aquariums or for keeping with overly active or aggressive tank mates.
