Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans)

The Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans) is a tiny, peaceful and beautiful schooling fish. Its vivid blue-green neon stripe is especially striking under subdued lighting, against a dark background and in a densely planted aquarium. It resembles the neon and cardinal tetra but is smaller, more delicate and has little or no red coloration. Keep at least 10–12 fish; a minimum of 50–60 litres is recommended, while 80 litres or more is better for a larger school.
