Halfmoon Betta (Betta splendens Halfmoon) is a striking selectively bred form of Betta, distinguished by its large caudal fin, which forms an almost perfect semicircle when fully spread, resembling a half moon. It reaches approximately 5-7 cm and is best kept alone in a well-established aquarium with calm water, plants and hiding places. Due to its long and delicate fins, it should not be kept with aggressive, overly active or fin-nipping fish.
