Koi Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Koi (Cyprinus carpio) is an ornamental form of common carp intended primarily for spacious garden ponds rather than standard home aquariums. It can reach about 90 cm, has a substantial appetite and produces a large amount of waste, requiring high water volume, powerful filtration and good aeration. Koi are long-lived fish and their housing should be planned for their full adult life.
