Lobster (Procambarus clarkii)

The Lobster (Procambarus clarkii) is a large freshwater crustacean with powerful pincers and a pronounced territorial behavior. Adults usually reach about 12 cm. It needs plenty of stable hiding places, especially during molting, and a well-closed aquarium, as it is capable of climbing and escaping. It is not suitable for a standard community aquarium with small fish, shrimp or delicate plants.
