Pinktail Chalceus (Chalceus macrolepidotus)

The Pinktail Chalceus (Chalceus macrolepidotus) is a large, fast and striking freshwater fish for a spacious aquarium with carefully selected tank mates. It grows to about 20-25 cm and has a silver body, large reflective scales and a pink-red tail. It needs extensive open swimming space and a secure lid. Small fish such as neons, guppies and tiny rasboras may be viewed as prey.
