Platinum Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)

Platinum Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) is a beautiful and elegant selectively bred variety of angelfish, distinguished by its delicate pale to almost white coloration with a pearlescent, platinum sheen. It reaches approximately 12-15 cm in length, but due to its tall body and long fins, it requires a tall and spacious aquarium. It does best in a well-established planted aquarium with calm water and peaceful tank mates that are neither too small nor prone to fin-nipping.
