Pseudotropheus Flavus (Pseudotropheus flavus)

Pseudotropheus Flavus (Pseudotropheus flavus) is an attractive, active and territorial African cichlid from Lake Malawi, distinguished by its contrasting yellow and black coloration and lively behaviour. It reaches approximately 8-10 cm and does best in a well-established aquarium with plenty of rocks, hiding places, a sandy substrate and hard, stable water. It is suitable for keeping with other Malawi cichlids of a similar size, but is not a good choice for a peaceful community aquarium with small or slow-moving fish.
