Rosy Barb (Pethia conchonius)

Rosy Barb (Pethia conchonius) is an active, hardy and attractive schooling fish, well suited to a well-established community aquarium with other lively tank mates. It reaches approximately 8-10 cm. It is distinguished by its silvery-pink to reddish body, with males typically displaying brighter coloration, especially when in good condition. It does best in a group of at least 6-8 individuals, in an aquarium with plenty of open swimming space, stable water conditions and peaceful but not overly slow-moving fish.
