SeaChem Meridian™ Substrate (Aragonite)

SeaChem Meridian™ 9 kg is a high-quality aragonite substrate for aquarium reefs. Its grain size is relatively uniform, ranging from 0.25 to 0.5 mm, making it ideal for reef inhabitants. Its chemical composition will help stabilize calcium and alkalinity, as well as prevent large pH fluctuations. It is sold dry, so you are paying for the product, not the unnecessary water. Bacteria are present in every substrate, whether dry or wet. If your goal is to reduce the cycling time in a newly set-up aquarium, it is more appropriate to use Seachem Stability. Simply rinse before use to remove any dust residues. To determine the number of bags you need, keep in mind that one 9 kg bag occupies approximately 5,300 cubic cm. To calculate how many kilograms you need, multiply the width and length of the aquarium by the desired depth of the substrate.
