Severum Cichlid (Heros severus)

Severum Cichlid (Heros severus) is a beautiful, relatively peaceful and large South American cichlid, distinguished by its tall, laterally compressed body and varied coloration, including greenish, golden, reddish and spotted forms. It reaches approximately 20-25 cm and does best in a spacious, well-established aquarium with driftwood, hiding places and stable water conditions. It can be kept with other peaceful fish of a similar size, but may nibble on more delicate aquarium plants.
