AquaEL PhosMax Pro is a filter insert for chemical absorption of phosphates dissolved in water. Phosphates are one of the main causes of annoying algae.
The use of PhosMax can also significantly reduce the need for water changes in phosphate-contaminated pools.
It is particularly recommended for tanks with a large number of fish, especially carnivorous animals, and few plants, as animals produce phosphate through their food and plants can absorb it.
PhosMax Pro is supplied in the form of three filled fleece bags, filled with an ion exchange resin and stabilized with a ceramic filler.
It is simply placed in an external filter or the media container of an internal filter and does not need to be washed or otherwise prepared.
One bag should be used for up to 70 l of aquarium water, so that the package contents are sufficient for 200 l. For aquariums under 70 L, one bag can be used without hesitation.
The mode of action of PhosMax Pro requires that at some point it is saturated with phosphate and the effect decreases. The service life is at least four weeks, depending on the load of the water, in less loaded basins also significantly longer - this is an individual value, which can only be determined by water tests.
