SeaChem Pond Prime

SeaChem Pond Prime™ is a concentrated water conditioner designed for use in ponds. It removes (neutralizes) chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia. The product converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form. It also helps reduce the buildup of nitrites and nitrates by detoxifying them, allowing the biofilter to eliminate them more effectively. Additionally, it binds and neutralizes heavy metals commonly found in tap water, assuming they are present in typical concentrations.

Pond Prime supports the production and regeneration of the natural slime coat on pond fish and does not affect pH levels. Use it when starting the pond cycle and any time water is added or changed.

Directions: Use 1/8 cup (2 tablespoons) for every 2,271 liters (600 gallons) to remove chlorine or chloramine. For reducing high levels of ammonia or nitrite, use 1/4 to 1/2 cup per 2,271 liters. A sulfur odor is normal. In cases of extremely high chloramine levels, a double dose may be safely used. For emergency nitrite detoxification, up to five times the normal dose may be used. If the water temperature is above 30°C (86°F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.
