JBL Catappa XL

This is a natural product with a high tannin (tannic acid) content. Similar to mangrove roots and peat, these leaves release large amounts of tannins, which can significantly lower the pH level depending on the water hardness.

Another key property of these leaves is their antibacterial and antifungal characteristics, offering strong protection for your fish against infections. Shrimp, in particular, respond extremely well to their presence.

Application:
Use 1 leaf per 50–100 liters of water. The leaf remains effective for up to 3 weeks.

Ways to use the leaves:
Place directly on the bottom of the aquarium. At first, they may need to be weighted down until they soak and sink.

Crush the leaves and place them in a filter bag inside the aquarium filter.

Crush the leaves and steep them in a large bottle of water until they release their tannins, then pour the colored water into the aquarium.
